So here goes.....Carly was coming in town for her birthday and Phil had the idea to have the gender written in an envelope by the doctor and put it in Carly's birthday card as a surprise to all of us! So....this envelope is what I left the doctor's office with and put it in Carly's birthday card for her to open.
This is her opening her birthday card! At this point no one knew!
After she opened the envelope I told her to go upstairs to find these....and told her to open the envelope and take off the lids of whichever sex it was! Then come downstairs and hand out the silly string!
I will add that it was not my first choice to do this in the garage, but it was a Thursday night and Phil get's home close to dark so we couldn't do it outside and I wasn't about to wait until the weekend just so we could do it outside during the day! Needless to say we weren't about to spray silly string in our living room so the garage it was! Huge props to the Wimberly's for coming over to video and take picts for us! Here goes!
AHHHHH!!!!! A GIRL!!!! A baby girl!
I think we just assumed it was another boy and we were completely at peace with that, so when pink silly string was sprayed we were in complete shock! Needless to say we are overjoyed and letting it all sink in that a baby girl will be arriving in April!
Phil went and changed to put his pink shirt on!
A few neighbors came over later that evening so we could share the news in person. We had them standing in the kitchen and turned the song "My Girl" on for them to hear!
such a special night!
and here she is! Our baby girl! Which is still hard for me to believe! We are still in shock to some degree! She is growing right on track and looking great!
