Cooper takes a seat.....

In the bumbo that is........Cooper's time in the bumbo is entertaining to say the least! We put him in the bumbo for the first time when he was about 2 months old.....not quite ready to be by himself, but with a lil' neck/head support he was pretty good at just hangin' out. Now, he can sit up like a big boy and take it all in. He's occasionally a lil' wobbly, but overall seems to enjoy it. Here are some picts of his time in the bumbo thus far......

"I'm suppose to do what with this?"
"I'm looking at it now....did you take the picture?"
"It makes noise when I shake it!"
"Don't worry mommy, while you cook, I'll just sit here."
"Okay, maybe not....I think I'd rather eat."
"Hellooooo....did someone forget about me in this thing?"
"Wow, this is different, I'm actually sitting up."
"I might need a lil' help for now though."
and of course our all time favorite bumbo picture yet......

Winter Weather

This winter weather wasn't just a few flurries......it was A LOT of snow! Between the snow and ice we were out of school for an ENTIRE week! Which sounds fabulous until they tell you we are no longer going to have our winter break in Feb. :( Regardless, we had a great week at home staying warm, taking naps, sitting by the fire, sipping on hot coco/cider, sledding and relaxing! Here are a few picts of the "Winter Storm 2011" (as they called it on the news)
*
PS - Promise us you won't call DFCS when you see what we did with pictures of Cooper in the snow.....I think it's safe to say he wasn't excited about it like we were (we'll give it a few years) :)

cuddlin' with daddy by the fire
yes, we put Cooper in the bumbo chair and sat him in the middle of our driveway :0
"Seriously yall, it's just snow....do we have to make a big deal about this?"
(Please don't notify Family & Children Services.)
"Enough mom and dad.....this is NOT fun."
"yeah, yeah, family photo.....can you please just take me inside so I can get warm."

Phil sledding.......I'm going to blame the out of focus picture on his lighting speed on the sled
the guys walking up the hill to go sledding
If you haven't been to our house we have a MASSIVE hill we live on.
We went sledding and it was AWESOME!
I probably should've worn a helmet (seriously) We were flying down the hill.

Baby blues.....

We think it's safe to say our lil' Cooper has blue eyes........the other day we were having a lil' tummy time and I couldn't resist capturing Cooper in awe (of the tv) :0 and bright eyed! We had a great week at home due to the winter weather in GA, but tomorrow we'll be back in the groove.

tummy time!

Firestation!

Where Daddy goes......when he isn't home with us! We've been to visit daddy at the station a few times now, but decided to take a few picts this time. I will say that Cooper has quite a few cool firetruck outfits, but he doesn't quite fit in them yet. These pictures are from our visit to the fire station on Christmas Eve! One proud daddy showing his lil' fella off!

Cooper is 3 months

Yes....he's 3 months ALREADY!!! Time flies when you're having fun, right??!!! And that we are! We are lovin' his lil' giggles, smiles and coo's! Phil is enjoying daddy-son time with him during the day and I've been rushing home to see him in the afternoon's! We've had a smooth transition this past week with me back at work and truly appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.

In his short 3 months can you believe all the snow he has seen?! (picts of that to come soon)
We hope everyone is enjoying the winter weather and staying safe!

"I think I'm getting the hang of this picture thing"
"Yahoo, I'm 3 months old."
"Do I really have to do this daddy, please make mommy stop?"
"I'm really not so sure about this."
"Okay, I'll do it.....you guys are pretty good to me."
"Enough for now.....I'll be ready for more in about a month."
"Do WHAT?...... we do this EVERY month? Geeez Mom"

Holiday Happenings with the Hankinson's

Whew.......a jammed packed holiday season with a 2.5 month old.....we survived! We enjoyed our time with family and friends and of course showing off our lil' love! Cooper either slept or ate through most of the events, but all in all it's safe to say he had a great 1st Christmas!

On another note..... We're in the middle of an adjustment for all 3 of us..... mommy back to work. I started back on Monday and Phil has been Daddy Day Caring..... on Phil's day's off he is with Cooper and on the days that both of us work (1-2 days a week) Nana, (Phil's mom) and Papa T (my dad) are taking turns taking care of lil' Coop. He's done great the past 3 days which makes for a happy mommy during my time away. It's certainly tough missing 8+hrs of his day, but I'm so thankful he's at home and with family. Not to mention that my staff is very encouraging - our other counselor even brought me flowers on my 1st day back! ahhhh! Thank you so very much to my friends and family that have been praying for us during this transition - much appreciated and definitely felt!

Lots of pictures to share from the holidays! More to come soon - visiting daddy at the fire station, playing around the house and next week will be 3 month picts!!!

Cooper and Levi are 18 days apart Visiting Santa
I can't say it's the best photo ever, but when your 2 month old doesn't even know who Santa is you go with what you got! Pretty good Santa if you ask me - for FREE! Yes, that's right - Santa is at the Avenue each Wed. before Christmas and you can take your own pictures. It was cold this day so he was inside Barnes & Noble - can you tell from the background :0 Anyways - Cooper was sound asleep and yes, the crazy parents that we are (I guess I should take the blame for that one) so, yes I got him out of his car seat to take a picture with Santa. Forgot to zip his cute lil' vest, but needless to say we have Cooper's 1st picture with Santa.
This group of lovely ladies are dear friends of mine!
Each year we go to Maggiano's for the most delicious dinner and ornament exchange. A few of our neighbors got together for a Tacky Sweater Christmas party and fondue
