Little things we love

The little things. The little things make us smile as parents....of course the big things do too, but today I can't help but reflect on the little things.
*
I went to a funeral today for one of my students. A 12 year old. A 12 year old that was full of life and had such a sweet spirit. A 12 year old that fought such a strong fight to beat cancer. Some might say the cancer won or we can say she won! She is cancer free and walking the streets of gold with Jesus! Today we truly celebrated her life and those that she touched in her short 12 years. My prayers are with this sweet family and I ask that you add them to your prayer list as well. That the days ahead bring peace to their family and comfort when they need to most after losing their baby girl.
*
I couldn't help but think of Cooper and our time together thus far. So today I focus on the little things. As I think about taking pictures, I often worry about things looking just right....does the house look messy, how do I look, is he in a cute outfit or still in his pj's, is he looking at the camera, etc.....so today I will begin taking pictures of the little things he does; his funny habits and the little things that make up our everyday and the things we want to remember about our lil Cooper.....even if everything isn't perfect.
*
After I feed him and burp him he always rest his head on my shoulder and nuzzles in for a lil' snuggle. I'm sure plenty of babies do this, however for us it's a special moment that I have to soak in with my son and certaintly something I want to remember! So today...here is our little thing...

Just because...

I pretty much love this outfit....so much that I seriously considered buying it in a 12 or 18 mo. size so he could wear it again next year. I refrained. However, I did buy it in red too in his current size. Silly I know.......but you do these things when your kid looks pretty much adorable - I mean handsome :) Just a few snaps of Cooper in his lil' outfit!
*
Today sweet Cooper was dedicated at church! It was such a special day for our family! Pictures from that to come soon.
*
We hope you had a wonderful weekend!
I accidentally put my finger over the flash, but I loved his face in this one so wanted to share

he had on lil' moccasins that a friend gave him, but we had already kicked them off at this point
and it really isn't too small it was just the way he was sitting :0

Giddy up!

4 months isn't too young for Cooper to ride a horse is it?! His Mimi and Papa T don't think so :) We didn't let him saddle up quite yet, but we did introduce him to the horses! He wasn't so sure at first, but we're guessing it won't be long before he's ready to go on a trail ride! Here are a few pictures of him meeting Shiloh! ENJOY!

"I'd like to keep my hand, thanks though"

"Uh, mom, I think I'll let you feed him"

Snazzy outfit

Check out these pretty snazzy overalls!!! One of Phil's mom's friends had them made for lil' Cooper! He wore them on a field trip to the fire station when we went to visit Daddy the other day. He's already stickin' his tongue out at the camera......eeek!

love this one!

Staying warm....

Thankfully, the last few days have been full of sunshine so we've been out on walks, sitting on the porch and enjoying the fresh air! However, a week or two ago it was rather chilly, but that didn't keep us from enjoying the outdoors. We went on a long walk while Cooper sported his tobogan AND mittens while taking in the view from the baby bjorn. He was just too cute all bundled up to not share with you! ENJOY!!!

4 months...

Our lil love is 4 months old!!!! Happy 4 months Cooper baby!
*
We fall more in love with him every day! His smile and laugh is contagious! We love that he smiles at us when we come home from a long day/night at work. He enjoys holding on to things, sucking his hands and kicking his legs when he’s excited. We’re working on rollin’ over. We go to the dr. for his 4 month appt. next week. Enjoy picts of our baby boy at 4 months old!

sweet happy boy!

pretty sure he posed like this last month with his arm propped up just chillin'

About to fall over, but still smilin'
lookin' at this daddy!

yes, daddy blew in his face again...same stunned look
and yes, that's our son "riding" our dog
and yes, that was daddy's idea
and yes, Cooper is saying.... "WHAT are you people doing to me...."
and yes, Lucy doesn't seem to be bothered by it.
AND....YES,
we are having so much fun being parents to Cooper
and sharing it with family and friends!
